One of our colleagues is retiring this autumn, and we are looking for you, with drive and extensive experience in social work, to become part of Social Jour Syd.

Social Jour Syd consists of 9 cooperating municipalities: Vellinge, Trelleborg, Lomma, Svedala, Skurup, Ystad, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Simrishamn. The work group consists of 4 employees, three working 80% and one working 50%, plus a operations manager. We are all social workers with long experience in social work and are now looking forward to welcoming a new colleague at 50%. This is perfect for you who want to combine on-call work with other interests or work with a smaller percentage but still be part of the operations and Vellinge Municipality. Opportunities for extra shifts will be available.

We work evenings, nights, weekends, and major holidays, that is, when regular social services are closed. We work on a rolling 4-week schedule and are on duty every other weekend. Working hours include both scheduled time and on-call time. Your workplace is in Vellinge, with the option to work from home. There are always 2 people on duty/on-call during shifts.

Job Responsibilities

As a social secretary at Social Jour Syd, your main tasks are to handle and document urgent cases according to the Social Services Act. A wide range of social issues are brought to Social Jour, which is why you need to have good knowledge of the responsibilities of other societal actors to refer cases correctly when needed. You work independently and have a high level of delegation.

In parallel with the on-call work, you will also actively work with operational development to drive Social Jour Syd forward. The tasks include keeping up to date with legislative changes, new recommendations, and methods relevant to the work of social emergency services.

Qualifications

You have a degree in Social Work with several years of experience in social work and experience working with authority exercises within different areas of social services. You have several years of experience with authority exercises within child and family services as well as harmful substance use and addiction. You have good knowledge of current legislation and are accustomed to applying it in practical work. You have good experience and knowledge of applying coercive legislation when situations require it.

You have good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is an advantage to master other languages.

Also, that you live within the geographical area to meet the requirement for response time for acute field work.
